The challenge
The client was running a legacy PHP monolith that couldn't handle sale-day traffic spikes. Checkout was failing for 30% of users during peak hours, costing ₹2–3L per hour in lost sales.
Our solution
Migrated to a Next.js storefront with a Spring Boot microservices backend. Introduced Redis caching for product catalogue, moved payments to Razorpay with idempotent checkout, and deployed on Kubernetes with auto-scaling.
